The following fundamental tasks are part of architectural design: freehand sketching or the creation of a preliminary design; schematic designing of the layout of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural aspects; creation of construction documentation, etc. Learning how to analyze and calculate a structure’s rigidity, stability, and strength is a key component of structural design education. The land survey and transportation course teaches students how to conduct a land survey to locate points and measure angles and distances on the ground. A person’s ability to plan and design building layouts is improved by the building design segment. Layouts, conceptual elements, systems, and components like windows, doors, interior partitions, and floor finishes are all created by architectural designers using computer-aided design (CAD). Designers can examine the tolerances and flaws of the proposed construction using CAD software to work on intricate engineering aspects. Building Information Modeling (BIM), a more recent development in CAD software, allows designers to create intelligent 3D models that give planners, designers, builders, and managers of infrastructure the knowledge and tools they need to do their jobs more effectively. Students who successfully complete the architectural course may apply for positions as an architectural designer, space designer, facilities designer, architectural renderer, CAD designer, or BIM modeler. Students can apply for careers as a civil engineer, field engineer, construction manager, site inspector & supervisor, and other positions after completing the civil course.
