WHAT IS BIM?

A novel phrase in the planning and design profession, BIM (Building information modelling) is a new software that helps to create a more complex building model. BIM is a 3-D model software tool, that is used by architects and designers to create construction documents. BIM is highly intelligent enough to share information about a building from early design concepts through construction, to the facility management of a building. It is an ever-changing model that has a stature of its own.
CADBIM is India’s no.1 Engineering Finishing School and one of the best BIM training institutes in Trivandrum. BIM is the core part of CADBIM, and aids in focusing Civil, Architectural, Mechanical and Electronics aspirants to acquire professional training and MNC experience.

BIM is noted for minimal error. Clash detection and being able to test objects in the space before purchase reduces the risk of costly mistakes. BIM can also provide accurate numbers and measurements to reduce the chance of mistakes. Through BIM, a designer cooperates with other disciplines through a virtual model. BIM can save time during planning and scheduling. Having everything in one place and linked together gives a designer more time to work on it.

BIM has a lot more to offer the interior designer. For interior designers, BIM is an instrument to help, develop, illustrate and innovate, conceptualize, and bring their ideas into reality. Interior designers use to check the functionality and visual appeal of the space using BIM. With BIM, a huge reduction happens in change orders as well as requests for information from the contractor and their subcontractors. As BIM is a 3-D model, there is no evading of dimensions. In two-dimensional software packages, dimensions can be duplicated, making the completed document inaccurate and often resulting in a change order during construction. BIM software never lets designers make up numbers and enter what they think it should be. It is as it appears, and if it’s modelled wrong, it will be fixed immediately. In brief, BIM is modelled as per the convenience of the user.
